The quick move of Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis resigning from their posts of Deputy CM and CM respectively, just hours later Supreme Court order for a floor test under surveillance took the political circles like a shock.
This has ended the 80-hour long government of Fadnavis. This paved way Uddhav Thackeray to swear in as new Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Following this, Uddhav Thackeray called for a meeting and addressed them.
"I am very happy for getting a chance of ruling vibrant Maharashtra. I didn't even dream of becoming CM. I am thanking Sonia Gandhi and other leaders who are the driving force behind this," said Thackeray.
Kalidas Kolambar who is a current Protem speaker oversaw the swearing process of the MLAs. Vijay Kumar Gavit, Radha Krishna Vikhe Patil are rendering their services as presiding officers.
Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray met Governor Koshyari along with his wife Rashmi while MLAs are swearing-in. There is no information on who will be the Deputy CM, said Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat.
