You read it right. The headline is not just a dream but it is going to be real just before the IPL 2020 season kick starts.
BCCI Chairman Sourav Ganguly and IPL Chairman, Brijesh Patel have worked out all the schedules and planned this one of a kind charity match on 25th March, 2020.
South and West franchises, that is, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderbad, will go against North and East Franchises, namely, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab.
This match will happen at brand new Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in Gujarat. From 29th March, regular IPL tournament will kick-start with MI vs CSK match.
Before that on 25th March, fans will get to witness Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit, AB Devilliers on one side taking on Steve Smith, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russel, Rishab Pant, Buttler on the other side, in this charity game.
The complete schedule for league stage has been announced with last league match happening on 17th May and final on 24th May.
After the two Test matches in New Zealand, Indian team players will take rest till 25th or 29th March to kick start the 13th Season of IPL, which will be a preparation for India and major players participating in IPL for T20 World Cup, happening later this year.
