A 56-year-old senior scientist Suresh Kumar working in ISRO, who was found murdered in his apartment in Hyderabad on October 1, was killed by a man blackmailing him for money in exchange for gay sex.

Taking swift action, Police formed three teams and solved the case after verifying the CCTV footage, The mobile data of the victim. The police confirmed that 39-year-old Janagama Srinivas, a lab technician of a private Pathology lab has killed Suresh.

According to the investigation, Suresh was lonely, but his economic condition was not that great either. Taking advantage of this, the accused Srinivas allegedly seduced him using the excuse of collecting blood. The accused expected monetary favors in return for sex. As he did not get the expected amount of money, Srinivas hatched a plan to kill Suresh.

Srinivas purchased a knife and went to Suresh's apartment on September 30 at 9.30 pm and after having sex with him, an argument for money broke out between the two. Amidst the argument, Srinivas killed Suresh by attacking him with a knife and causing serious head injuries.
