Controversial Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, who earlier made controversial statements against doctors and allopathy had surprised everyone by changing his stands on doctors.
The Yoga Guru said he would take the vaccine dose soon and called doctors as messengers of gods. I am not against the doctors or any organisation, but I am against the drug mafia, he said.
“We cannot be at enmity with any organisation. And all the good doctors are all messengers sent by God on this earth. They are a gift to this planet. But if a person being a doctor does anything wrong then that is the fault of that individual,†Baba Ramdev said.
Adding further, he heaped praises on Prime Minister for launching the vaccination drive to vaccinate the adults in the country free of cost from June 21, which collides with International Day of Yoga.
Calling the Prime Minister’s announcement to vaccinate the adults as a historic decision, Baba Ramdev urged everyone to take the vaccines. However, he had appealed to people to practice yoga and Ayurveda.
After he made alleged distasteful comments against allopathy, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) slapped him with a defamation notice. In addition to that, the medical body has also written to PM Modi seeking strict action against Ramdev.
Earlier in May, Ramdev took back his statements on allopathic medicine after Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan called the Yoga guru’s statements inappropriate.
