India Beats Italy To Emerge As The Sixth Worst-Affected Nation

The positive cases of the pandemic continue to surge in India rapidly as India overtook Italy to become the sixth worts-affected nation in the world in terms of the infections.
The count of infections in India stood at 2.35 lakhs. Surprisingly it took only some weeks for India to bag the sixth spot whereas a few weeks back India emerged as the 9th worst-hit nation after beating China.
However, India's rank stood at 12th when it comes to fatalities in connection with the pandemic. So far 6,641 people succumbed to the contagious disease in India.
The US tops the list in both infections and fatalities as the nation reported 18,80,703 positive cases and 1,08,496 fatalities.
Brazil - 6.14 lakh - 34,021, Russia(449,834 infections, 5,528 fatalities), United Kingdom - 2.84 lakh - 40,344, Spain - 2.40 lakh - 27,114, India - 2.36 lakh - 6,649 are the worst-affected nations in the world followed by US.
