After the start of play on Day Four of the Test, it took India just Nine minutes and Two overs to defeat South Africa by an innings and 202 runs and complete a 3-0 series whitewash in Ranchi on Tuesday. Rohit Sharma walked away with the Man of the Series award in his maiden series as Test opener after amassing 529 runs, including two hundred and a double hundred.

In 1970, Sunil Gavaskar scored Two centuries in the same series. Rohit also became the highest batsman to hit sixes in a Test series.
