India Continues To Fear The Ongoing Pandemic

India continues to fear the ongoing pandemic with the cases increasing at a rapid phase. India reported more than 50,000 fresh infections for five consecutive days, which gives an insight into the prevailing situations.

In the past 24 hours, around 53,000 fresh infections of the contagious disease were reported with as many as 52,972 fresh infections. With this, the total infections zoomed to 11,86,203.

In a piece of good news, 40,574 patients recovered from the contagious disease and the total recoveries of the ongoing pandemic in the country rose to 11,86,203 with a recovery rate of 65.76% which is the highest so far.

On the other hand, the active cases stood at 5,79,357. With 771 fresh casualties reported in the last 24 days, the total fatalities in the country in connection with the respiratory disease mounted to 38135.

Andhra Pradesh reported 8,555 fresh infections on Sunday and the total infections of the respiratory disease increased to 1.58 lakh. So far, 1,474 patients succumbed to the virus.

Telangana added as many as 983 fresh infections on Sunday, which takes the toll of the total cases in the state to 67,660. With 11 fresh casualties, the total casualties rose to 551.

Globally, the ongoing pandemic left as many as 1.80 crore patients infected with the contagious disease, while the virus claimed 6.88 lakh lives. The majority of the cases and fatalities are reported from the United States, while Brazil and India are the next worst-hit countries.
