India Reports The Highest Spike Of Cases With 8,392 Cases

The positive cases of the ongoing pandemic continue to surge in India as 8,392 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours. This marks the biggest spike of cases so far.

The total cases in the country reached 190,535 which makes India the seventh worst-affected country in terms of the positive cases.

The fatalities in connection to the virus are also increasing constantly with 230 fatalities reported in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the fatalities in the country to 5,394.

Maharashtra continues to face the wrath of the pandemic as 2,487 fresh cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours which takes the toll of the cases to 67,655.

Tamil Nadu became the second worst-hit state in the country with a spike of 1,149 fresh cases taking the toll of the cases to 22,333.

On the other hand, National capital Delhi too reported the highest surge of cases with 1,295 cases which takes the toll of the total cases to 19,844 making it the third worst-affected

The toll of the total cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 3,042 with 98 fresh cases reported in the state in the past 24 hours. In the past 24 hours, 43 patients were discharged taking the toll of the total discharged in the state to 2135. So far 62 succumbed to the virus.

Fellow Telugu state Telangana witnessed the highest surge of positive cases with 199 while five people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours. With this, the toll of the positive cases in the state reached 2,698. So far 82 people lost their lives to the dreaded virus.
