India Reports The Highest Surge Of Pandemic Cases

India reported the highest surge of the positive cases of the pandemic so far with 9,304 in the past 24 hours. The new addition of cases takes the toll of the total cases to 216,919.
The fatalities connected with the pandemic surpassed the 6,000-mark with 260 people succumbed to the dreaded virus in the past 24 hours. Out of the fresh fatalities Maharashtra alone reported 122
Looking at the state-wide data Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi which are the worst-hit states in the country due to the virus reported the highest slump of cases in the past 24 hours.
These three states account for around 70% of the total infections in the country. While Maharashtra has 74,860 cases and 2,560 fatalities followed by Tamil Nadu(25,872) and Delhi(23,645) and Gujarat(18,100).
Talking about the recovered case, more than one lakh people managed to recover from the dreaded virus which takes the count of the active cases in the country to 106,737.
