The parents feeling will be amazed, if their children born on January 1st. In this leap year, 2020 on January 1st India created a global record. On January 1st in India 67,385 babies were born and the figure represents 17 percent of the total born babies in the world.

According to the data released by UNICEF on Wednesday, a total number of 3,92,078 babies were born and out of that 67,285 babies were born in India and followed by China with 46,299, Nigeria 26,039, Pakistan 16,787, Indonesia 13,020 and the United States of America 10,452.

In 2018, 2.5 million newborn babies died in the first month of January and among them, one-third of the babies died on the first day. Most of the babies died of premature birth, complications during delivery and infections. China and India are the two most populous countries, China with 1.43 billion people and India with 1.37 billion and comprising 19 and 18 percent of the population in 2019.
