On the eve of New Year, India created a unique and unprecedented record on several births. Reportedly India has witnessed around 67,358 babies on Jan 1, 2020. This toll is the highest number in the world.
The count is quite interesting as China tops the list with the second spot with a count of 46k. Nigeria(26k), Pakistan(16k), Indonesia(13K) and USA(1OK) steals the next spots respectively.
According to UNICEF's report babies born on New Year in India marks' 17 percent of total 392,078 babies born in the world on that particular date.
Besides providing humanitarian and development aid for Children, UNICEF also celebrates the birth of babies born on the day of New Year. With the news of the report erupting on social media, the demand for the population control bill got more noise.
