The dreaded virus originated from the dragon country China continues to bother as India as more than 6,500 fresh cases of the virus were reported in the past 24 hours.
The total toll of the cases in the country reached 158,333. India straightaway reported more than 6,000 cases for the fourth consecutive day. On the other hand, 194 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours taking the toll of the total fatalities to 4,531.
The recovery rate of the virus in the country reached 42% which is a good sign. Around 67,692 people were cured of the virus which takes the active cases in the country to 86,110.
Maharashtra alone has 56,948 cases which translate to 36% of the total cases in the country which is the worst-affected state in the country followed by Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Delhi.
The cases of the virus in Telangana reached 2139 with 107 positive cases of the virus recorded in the state in the past 24 hours. So far 63 people succumbed to the dreaded virus.
On the other hand, AP reported 54 fresh cases taking the toll of the cases in the state to 2841. As of now, 59 people succumbed to the virus. The active cases in the state reached 824 with 1 958 people managed to recover from the virus.
