India sees 58,419 new Covid cases, lowest in 81 days

India, which once reported more than four lakh new Covid cases during the peaks of the virus, has been seeing a downtrend of the single-day cases for the past few weeks.
In the past 24 hours, India saw less than 60,000 new cases with not less than 58,419 cases, which marks the fewer cases in 81 days. The cumulative case toll in the country rose to 29,881,965.
The data shared by the Union Health Ministry said, the total number of patients, who lost their lives has zoomed to 3,86,713, after 1576 people breathed their last in the past 24 hours.
So far, a total of 2,87,66,009 patients have been declared cured of the virus and were discharged from the hospital according.As a result, the active cases stood at 7,29,243.
Telangana reported 1,362 new cases, pushing the total caseload to 6,12,196. With a total of 5,90,072 patients beating the virus so far with a recovery rate of 96.38 percent, there are 18568 active cases in the state. So far, 3,556 people lost their lives to the virus.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh recorded 5,674 new cases in the past 24 hours.As a result, the cumulative case load went further to 18,44,917. After 45 people breathed their last, total Covid deaths zoomed to 12,269.The total recoveries and active cases stood at 65,244 and 17,67,404 respectively.
