The much talked about Chittor temple incident where a Nandi idol was vandalized by some unknown miscreants has created a sensation in Andhra Pradesh. Many Hindu organizations have protested against the incident.

Now the Chittor police has successfully cracked the case and busted an interstate gang, that is behind the demolishment of the idols in Hindu temples.

Chittor SP S. Senthil Kumar, who addressed the media said that they have busted the interstate gang of stealing Hindu idols. The eight criminals in the gang who have demolished the Nandi idol have been arrested.

He further added that in the investigation, they have found that the miscreants have committed the act for hidden treasures. They have demolished the idol to find the hidden treasure, with no treasure found they left the spot.

While six miscreants were arrested from Karnataka, two others were nabbed from Andhra Pradesh itself.
