Despite being the Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddiyurappa is not happy as he seems to be very powerless when it comes to taking important decisions. All India BJP organising secretary BL Santosh and state party unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel are vetoing many of his proposals. Not just that even the Central Government is said to have rapped Yeddiyurappa on the spate of transfers he has undertaken. The Central leadership has reportedly told him to transfer officials only when absolutely needed.

Though PM Modi is said to be a great friend of Yeddiyurappa, he is said to keeping Yeddiyurappa at a distance. Recently when Yeddiyurappa met the PM, the meeting lasted for just 15 minutes, while YS Jagan was given nearly one hour time.  When Yeddiyurappa wanted another appointment, the PMO did not give.

Yeddiyurappa is said to be deeply unhappy with these developments. There are also questions about Yeddiyurappa's ability to quickly react. He is above 75 and is hard of hearing. There are reports that the BJP national leadership is thinking of a replacement for him.
