Is BJP Planning To Enter Media?

Is the BJP planning to enter into the media field? The party is strongly of the opinion that it needs to have a supportive media. It feels that unless it has strong media support, it cannot take its narrative to the people. The Telangana BJP leaders say that they have the nod from the Central leadership.
If highly placed sources are to be believed, the party is planning to take over two middle-level channels and appoint journalists with pro-BJP attitude as the CEO and chief editor. The party is said to be in talks with the managements of these channels. It is reliably learnt that the BJP is using the services of its national leaders to talk to the managements and convince them to enter into a deal.
According to sources, Bandi Sanjay, the Telangana BJP president and Kishan Reddy, the union minister of state for home affairs, have already begun preparations for the same. It also being reported that they have mobilized some business leaders to take over these channels and run them. The BjP feels that it should have a strong voice in the media before the 2023 elections if it wants to put up a creditable performance .
One of the channels is a local channel, which is in the throes of a deep economic crisis, while the other one has its headoffice in Tamil Nadu.
