For the first ever time, Chandrababu Naidu, who has been a legislator since 1977 and a chief minister for three times, has talked about retirement. After the recent string of reversals in elections and the aggressive attacks on him in the assembly, Chandrababu Naidu is finding himself weak and defeated. He seems to have been overwhelmed by the situations. Hence for the first time he is talking about retirement.
YS Jagan's brand of politics appear to be way too beyond the comprehension of traditional politician like Chandrababu Naidu. The way he cried in front of the media has left many TDP leaders shell-shocked. Even they are now feeling utterly demoralised. Many family members and close circle of advisors have reportedly suggested to Chandrababu that he should make an exit gracefully.
Now Chandrababu too said to be in two minds. He now wants to ascertain from the people of the state whether he should be in politics or not. He is said to be planning to go to the people in the form of a yatra. He is said to be planning to put forth the question before the people at large whether he should continue in politics or retire.
If the people's response is negative, then he would step back and retire from politics, according to some of among Chandrababu's close circle. They say that that will decided whether he would continue his fight or keep away from the day-to-day political activity.
