Is Eatala Rajender playing a mind-game on the TRS? Is he trying to keep the TRS guessing about who the BJP candidate would be? If political watchers are to be believed, he is sending conflicting signals to the TRS. On one hand, he is sending enough indications that he would contest from Huzurabad, while he is also indicating that his wife Jamuna Reddy will contest the elections.
After Eatala has resigned from the TRS and joined the BJP, bypoll in Huzurabad has become inevitable. Both Eatala and his wife Jamuna Reddy are undertaking hectic tour of the constituency these days. While Eatala is drawing huge crowds wherever he went, his wife too is getting tremendous response. Till recently a home-maker, Jamuna Reddy has proved that she can be an incendiary speaker and a consummate politician. She is raising the right issues and is striking the right chord in the people through her speeches.
Insiders say that Eatala might make his wife the BjP candidate if the TRS gives ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Capt. Lakshmikantha Rao's wife. Hence, he is making her familiarize herself with the voters of the constituency. Even if Eatala becomes the candidate, Jamuna Reddy can campaign effectively for him. She being a Reddy and Eatala being a BC, she can get votes from both the communities, say analysts.
