Is Film Industry Targeting YSRCP Supporters?

The buzz around comedian Ali's recent meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is refusing to die down. While most narratives claim that Ali had met Jagan with a request for a key post in the government, reliable sources say that there could be other key reason for his meet with Jagan.

Sources say that there is a concerted attempt to marginalize all those film personalities, who have worked for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the 2019 elections. Film personalities like Ali, Pruthvi and Vijayachander have been sidelined in the industry after they backed the YSRCP. They are being denied roles in the films.

Pruthvi and Ali, who used to be very busy in the film industry, are not getting the roles these days. The film industry is heavily loaded in favour of the TDP, In fact, the TDP for years, used the film industry biggies for political campaigns. The same section is said to be sidelining Ali and Pruthvi. It is likely that Ali had discussed this issue with YS Jagan.

It may be recalled that the film industry, which fell head over heels while paying obeisance to the TRS leadership, has met Jagan only once. They met almost several months after he became the CM to congratulate him on his victory at the hustings. So, the industry is loaded against YSRCP and thus the likes of Ali might be facing the heat. So, this is said to have come up in the Jagan-Ali meet.
