The change in immigration policy and political changes in China are the reasons for the drop of MBA students in American universities.

A similar situation occurred at some of America's top educational institutions such as Harvard University, Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. There is a decrease of two percent for Tuck School of Business.

For the fifth consecutive year, applications for the MBA course have dropped. The Business School of Management conducts the GMAT admissions test and by the end of the summer, American Business Schools received 1,35,096 applications from the students. Last year there was a drop of 7 percent in business course applications, and these details were revealed by the Graduate Management Admission's council.

In earlier days there used to be a lot of competition to study an MBA course in the US and there is a belief that they can get a job in a leading company after completing the MBA course.
