Will former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy join the BJP? Indications are that - yes, he would. Hectic behind the screen parleys are on between Kiran Kumar Reddy and the BJP top brass on the issue. Kiran Kumar Reddy may make a public announcement soon and formally join the BJP.
Though the BJP has been in touch with Kiran Kumar Reddy for quite some time, he kept them waiting all these days. But, now, he feels the time is ripe to join the BJP. So, Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to join the BJP anytime. Already, he has reportedly been tasked to talk to Congress leaders in AP and bring them into the BJP. The BJP is eyeing influential Congress leaders to strengthen itself. So, along with Kiran Reddy, a large number of Congress men too might join the BJP.
Kiran Kumar Reddy had left the Congress after the bifurcation and launched Jai Samaikyandhra Party in 2014. The party had put up candidates in all the 175 constituencies but could not win any. Since then, Kiran Kumar Reddy was in political wilderness. A year ago, the Congress Party invited him into the party and since then, he has been with the Congress. But, Kiran Kumar Reddy did not campaign for the party in 2019 elections. He has been keeping a low profile all these days. He could become star campaigner for the BJP after he joins the party.
