Is Modi mellowing down?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an alpha male â imposing, dominating and even autocratic to an extent. He takes considered decisions. But those decisions are largely his own. He does not listen to others. He is never seen consulting anyone while taking a decision. He stands by his decisions and does not budge an inch. With Modi around, it's Modi and Modi alone.
In his last seven years of rule, Modi has not been seen consulting or confabulating on any issue. He takes a decision on his own and imposes his will on all others. But in a first, he is now planning to hold consultations with the opposition parties, including the Congress Party on the issue of Kashmir. This is a departure from his normal behaviour. While abrogating the Article 370 and 35 A, he did not consult the opposition. The Congress was not kept in the loop. But, now in a major comedown, he has invited every political party for consultations on Kashmir.
One notes that post second wave of Covid Modi is a more mellowed man. He is not the autocrat that he was. He is consulting everyone on various issues. This may have become necessary in view of the wide opposition building against some of his decisions.
