Is TDP Liable for Claiming NTRs Legacy?

Telugu Desam Party and Anna NTR are synonyms and both cannot be separated. To get out of the crisis it is dealing with, the grand old Telugu Desam Party wants to increase its mileage by banking on the good image of party chief and ex-Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

As NTR's next birthday marks the 100th birthday of NTR, TDP started year-long centenary celebrations and as part of that, the opposition party is visiting the NTR statues in the state and addressing the people there. One such statue had caught up in a big constituency.

Starting statue politics in the state, Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP are fighting each other against the NTR statue. After a few YSRCP supporters reportedly colored the statue with YCP colors, the local TDP leaders slammed the ruling party and restored the TDP color for the statue.

Amid this, ex-Minister and firebrand leader Kodali Nani reacted to the issue and said that NTR is not restricted to Telugu Desam Party alone he belongs to everyone. He said that anyone can use NTR's photo as he is loved by many.

Kodali Nani raised a huge debate on whether TDP is the sole owner of the NTR image. Mentioning how Chandrababu Naidu took over the party from NTR, Kodali Nani asked why CBN who took over the party is now batting for NTR's legacy.
