Is This Why KCR Decided To Make KTR CM?

What is the actual reason for KCR's decision to make his son the chief minister? Those in the know say that failing health and slow responses to crises have prompted KCR to take this decision. KCR feels that a younger face as the leader is the need of the hour for the TRS, say the sources.
One major factor that KCR and the TRS leaders have noticed in the Dubbak and the GHMC elections is the near total absence of the youth in the party campaign. The youth are simply not with the TRS. In fact, KTR himself had to organize a special youth convention in Pragathi Bhavan ahead of the GHMC elections. Despite that there was no change in the ground situation. As a result, KCR is now strongly of the opinion that youth should be at the helm of the affairs.
The second big reason is the Modi's masterstroke of one nation-one election. Though as of now nothing is clear, KCR knows that Modi may bring a surprise and call for elections for all the states and the Centre suddenly. This would take the leadership in other parties off guard. Hence, by appointing a young KTR, the party can be better prepared for common elections.
