Jagan Cancels Gov Meeting! Not A Good Sign!!

Telugu People felt happy to see Chief Ministers of AP and Telangana maintain healthy relations after 2019 Elections and trying the resolve the inter-state disputes amicably. Seems like, The exercise won't go on smoothly any longer as many complex issues has to be settled.

On July 3rd, A Meeting was scheduled to happen between Chief Secretaries and Senior Officials of AP and Telangana in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan to resolve the bifurcation issues such as distribution of assets of common institutions listed under the 10th & 9th Schedule of AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

Telangana CM KCR came forward to share bank deposits of common institutions according to the population ratio 52:48. Which means, AP would receive Rs 12,000 crore and Telangana gonna get Rs 8,000 crore out of Rs 20,000 bank deposits. However, KCR is reluctant to apply the same rule for assets of common institutions.

While Assets of 89 Common Institutions under Schedule IX are valued at Rs 1.58 lakh crore, Assets of 142 Common Institutions under Schedule X are valued at Rs 38,000 crore. KCR isn't willing to share these assets with AP placing the argument that they belong to Telangana based on their location. AP CM YS Jagan isn't okay with it and decided to call off the meeting which could cost his state dearly. He got ready to seek the opinion of legal experts to proceed further on sharing of assets.
