The proposed tour of AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to national capital of Delhi has been deferred. If sources are to be believed, the tour has been deferred as the Chief Minister's office could not secure appointments of key ministries. Hence the meeting is said to have been deferred to Thursday.
YS Jagan had decided to go to Delhi to discuss the progress of work in Polavaram project. He would also discuss the bifurcation-related issues and vaccination programme. The visit assumes importance as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to bring the chief ministers of various states on the issue of vaccination, He has recently written a letter to all the chief ministers of the country. He wanted the CMs of all the states to speak in one voice. In view of all these, how he is going to deal with the Central Government on this issue assumes significance.
YS Jagan is now likely to visit Delhi on Thursday. This visit is coming after the results of the five assemblies were announced. The BJP’s failure to win Bengal and Mamta Banerjee's stunning victory are looming large over the political scenario. Given this, Jagan's tour has great significance.
