Jagans First Speech In Assembly Puts CBN To Shame

In his first speech in Assembly after Tammineni Sitaram was elected as the Speaker of the Assembly, YS Jaganmohan Reddy showed how a Leader of the House should lead by example by following the democratic practices.

Jagan: 'This House has witnessed how Opposition MLAs were snatched through horse-trading when TDP was in power. I was advised by few people that if I could take five Opposition MLAs now so that TDP will end up losing the Main Opposition status. If I do that, Nothing good will be left in this Assembly and there won't be any difference between Me & Chandrababu Naidu. 2019 Election Results are a classic example of the price a party has to pay for such unethical practices. TDP got the same number of MLA and MP Seats which were snatched from YCP'.

Leader of the House made it clear any Opposition MLA or MP who wishes to join YSRC much resign to their constitutional position first or else Speaker must disqualify them as quickly as possible. He says, 'A bad precedent was set by the previous Assembly with Leader of the House & Speaker by misusing the constitutional powers. This House will set a good precedent by offering utmost importance to the ethics'.
