He may be trying  to become the PCC chief and lead Telangana Congress to victory. But, his own hardcore followers are deserting him. This is the sorry plight of Sangareddy MLA Turpu Jagga Reddy. He is trying very hard to become the PCC chief and has camped in New Delhi to influence the high command. As the only Congress MLA from the erstwhile Medak district, Turpu Jagga Reddy is like a giant killer – the only one who weathered the KCR storm in 2018.

But now many of his hardcore supporters and active workers appear to be all set to join the TRS. Turpu Jagga Reddy Yuva Sena president and block Congress former president Kandi Ramakrishna Reddy and several other key Congress leaders from Kandi, Sangareddy, Kondapur and Sadasivpet mandals are getting ready to join the TRS. These leaders are said to be in talks with Finance Minister Harish Rao, who is in charge of the party affairs in the undivided election.

Similarly former MLA Chinta Prabhakar too is planning to join the TRS along with over 2000 activists. These leaders feel that Jagga Reddy is ignoring them after he became the MLA. They also say that they are attracted by the welfare programmes of the TRS government.
