GHMC Elections: Jana Sena Decides Not To Contest The Polls
X
Amid growing suspense over the alliance between Bharatiya Janata Party-Jana Sena for the much anticipated GHMC elections, Pawan Kalyan met Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy and National President for Bharatiya Janata Party's OBC Morcha K. Laxman at Nadendla Manohar's residence.

To everyone's surprise, Jana Sena which expressed its desire to contest the civic body polls has changed its decision and opted to stay out of contesting the elections.

However, Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena will support the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming GHMC elections. Pawan even asked the party cadre to work for BJP's victory.

This will leave the 27 candidates announced by Jana Sena for the GHMC elections. Pawan said the party will contest the civic body polls only from the divisions they have a good hold.

It has to be noted that the other day, the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party of Telangana Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who addressed the media said BJP will contest the elections alone and there is no chance of an alliance.

Looks like BJP and Jana Sena, which joined hands for alliance in Andhra Pradesh had a communication gap over the civic body polls.
