Days after accepting the presence of as many as 11 terrorists who lubricated the 26/11 terror attacks in India's financial capital Mumbai, a Pakistan court awarded a 10-year sentence in jail for the mastermind of the error attacks.

Going into details, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore slapped Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed 10 years jail sentence in two cases related to terror-financing.

JuD chief Hafiz Saeed is in jail custody already, who was arrested on July 17 2019 on the charges of terror financing cases. An anti-terrorism court in February awarded 11 years jail sentence for Hafiz. He carries a bounty of 10 million dollars placed by the US.

PTI reported that the cases were brought to the anti-terrorism court by the Counter-Terrorism Department. The statements of the witnesses in these cases were crossed-examined before giving the verdict.

According to the information, the Counter-Terrorism Department has filed more than cases against the JuD leaders, while more than half of the cases have been decided so far.

The series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008 which were dubbed as the 2008 Mumbai attacks was carried out by the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT). Saeed-led JuD is the front organisation of LeT.
