Delhi Chief Minister blamed the Centre for January 5 violence at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He defended the Delhi police which has faced criticism for not taking action.
Speaking at a press conference Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal defended Delhi police and said the Delhi police are capable of maintaining law and order in Delhi. He said it was not the police fault for not stopping the violence. The Delhi police got the orders from the above that you do not do anything to maintain law and order.
Violence broke out in JNU on Sunday evening as a large group of ABVP people attacked the JNU students and lecturers with rods and sticks. In the attack, 28 people and 3 lecturers were injured. Till now police did not arrest anyone regarding the attack.
