Just Two Days: Will KCR Break Chandrababus Record?
X
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has a rare record. It's unbroken for around two long decades. Chandrababu Naidu even spoke about the rare record during meetings many times. He says he is the longest-serving Chief Minister in the combined Andhra Pradesh. The record is unbroken in combined AP.

But after the bifurcation, KCR is going to say Chandrababu Naidu is not the longest-serving CM. The combined state was divided in 2014. KCR has been serving as the CM since then and he will complete nine years in office on June 2, 2023.

We have to get into the details to see what record Chandrababu has and how it is going to be broken. Chandrababu served as CM for three terms. He took oath as the CM of the combined state on September 1st,1995. He won the elections in 1999 and served as the CM of the combined state till May 2004. He was in the office for eight years and 256 days.

Kasu Brahmananda Reddy has the record of serving as the highest-serving CM before Chandrababu in the combined state. He served seven years and 221 days and NTR served over seven years. YSR held CM office for five years and 111 days. As of now, Chandrababu has the record.

Now KCR is going to break the same record. He will complete nine years in the office by June 2. Chandrababu was the Chief Minister of divided AP from 2016 June 8 to 2019 May. If the same period is also added then Chandrababu held the office for 13 years and 247 days.

But things changed after the state bifurcation and his record in Telangana is going to be broken. If Jagan won't go for early elections then he will have the record of holding the CMO as long as Chandrababu did. Those who come to power in 2014 will have a big record.
