KCR's Biggest Confusion

Master strategist KCR is in confusion. Given the reports that the BJP and the Congress Party may perform better in the Lok Sabha, he wants to ensure that these results do not damage his partyâs standing. As a clever politician, he realises that the BJP and the Congress will be buoyant if it performs well in the Parliamentary elections. So, he wants to have the MPTC, ZPTC and zilla parishad elections before the MP results are out. He will catch the opposition off guard and using his complete control over the party, will have a team of his liking in place.
If the TRS faces reversal in the Lok Sabha elections, KCR is also planning to have early polls for the GHMC. He wants to ensure that a resurgent BJP does not take advantage of changed position. He wants to catch the BJP off the guard and have early polls for the GHMC. The TRS has 100 out of 150 seats in the GHMC and its term lasts till 2222. But, by having the polls somewhere in July this year, he can forestall defections and rise of the BJP in the city. But, will this move backfire? Will it actually help or ruin his chances? A section of the TRS leadership in the city is also opposing the movie saying that since the party has another two years time to govern. If the TRS loses by any chance, the BJP and the Congress might become stronger. So, KCR is burning midnight oil to work out a strategy.
