Stung by the tardy pace of developmental works, Telangana CM KCR said that he would personally adopt a district and turn it into a model district. 'I will show how progress and development could be achieved,' he told during a review of the Palli Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi programme, which are aimed at achieving development in both rural and urban areas.
Speaking during the review meeting, he said e would work with the additional collectors, who were specially appointed for this purpose. He said results would become visible if one works with dedication for six months. He said dedicated and determined efforts will always bear fruits. Chief Minister said that ignoring of ground realities is at the root cause of underdevelopment. He said rural development was being neglected across the country and called for a renewed focus on rural development. A lot remains to be done in our neighbourhoods and this calls for dedicated efforts, he said. KCR said he would visit Kamareddy and Siddipet on June 20 and Warangal on June 21. He said he would inspect several works and also launch several more.
KCR has also asked the officials to shrug off time-worn attitude and focus on honing their skills to achieve better development. He also said that the works should be executed with commitment so that the benefits are passed on to the targeted populations.
