Addressing the Telangana Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Assembly sessions, Minister of MA&UD, Industries, and IT&C of Telangana Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao aka KTR told the house that in the span of 6 years Rs 67,000 crores was spent on the development works in Hyderabad.

The Minister said that ranking the rising importance of the city as a high priority in increasing the state economy, the government unveiled many schemes and programs to develop the infrastructure.

KTR told the house that ever since Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, the state government specially focused on developing the pearl city.

Mentioning about releasing funds to the Municipalities in the state, KTR maintained that the state government is allocating Rs 78 crores to GHMC monthly, while other municipalities have been receiving Rs 70 crore.

Some media outlets quoted KTR as saying: Since the state was formed, a Rs 67,035 crore has been spent by the government on various works and programs in the capital city.

KTR termed Hyderabad as a world-class city and mentioned the City Momentum Index (CMI) which declared Hyderabad as the dynamic city in the world and said that the capital city is the best in many ways.

Well, there is no wrong in KTR calling Hyderabad as the best city. Famous holiday planning website Holidify.com has named Hyderabad as the best liveable city in India, thanks to the efforts of the government in improving the infrastructure in the city.
