As the highly anticipated Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, 2020 are six months away, the authorities have decided to set up special camps to register the Voter IDs. Unregistered voters can also get themselves enrolled in the voter list.
Following this, Actor-turned-politician, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) supremo Kamal Hassan released a two and a half minute long video and urged the eligible voters to get themselves enrolled if they have not done yet.
The Universal Hero took to the Microblogging site Twitter and shared the video message in Tamil to encourage the public to register themselves for the voter IDs.
In the video, Kamal Hassan called voter ID a big weapon. By not discharging its responsibility, society will lose its rights automatically. Those who want a change in the system don't have a voter ID.
The Actor-turned-politician appealed to the public to cast their votes in the elections and asked them to make the decision to vote as their mantra for the 2021 elections.
The BJP, which is making all the possible efforts to expand its base in southern states other than Karnataka is targeting the upcoming 2021 Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.
