Kannada Singer Lost Her Life with Alleged Dowry Harassment

In a horrifying incident, Kannada playback singer Sushmita has killed herself at her mother's residence over alleged dowry harassment by her in-laws. This incident created a sensation in the Kannada industry.
Reports state that the singer was married in 2018 who resides in the Kumaraswamy Layout in Bangalore. She came to her mother's residence on Sunday where Sushmita's brother also resides.
It has been reported that Sushmita came to her mother's residence after she fought with her husband Sharath who is believed to be working as a manager at a car showroom.
Sushmita has sent a WhatsApp message to her mother and brother on her troubled marriage and her ill-treatment by her in-laws which is prompting her to take this extreme step.
Her brother Sachin who received her message around 5:30 rushed to Sushmita's room and found her hanging.
"Sorry mom, I am paying the price for my mistakes. I have undergone a lot of torture. Please don't spare them. I didn't want to die in their house. I was being harassed from the first day but I didn't tell anyone," her message read.
Reportedly Sushmita has kept Sharath, Vaidehi and Geetha responsible for her death and even said she doesn't want to breathe lost breath at her husband's place.
In her message, she also said: "do not leave my in-laws" in her message which she sent to her mother and brother.
