To know the location of people who were kept at quarantine centers, Karnataka Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar has asked the people who were kept under home quarantined in the state to click selfies and send to the government mobile application every hour as the selfie or photo will have GPS coordinates so the location of the sender would be known.

If those home quarantined fail to send selfies every one hour (except between 10 pm to 7 am), then they would be shifted to government-created mass quarantine facilities, the Minister said.

Five new positive cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Karnataka on Monday, taking the total number of the affected in the state to 88, the Health Department said in Bengaluru.

To fight the spread of the dreaded virus, the Karnataka government has said that essential commodities like vegetables and groceries will be made available for the people in their local areas.
