The 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly election for the 140 MLA seats has started today. The ongoing elections will elect the legislators for the 15th Assembly of God's Own Country.
On the occasion of the elections, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan exercised his vote right at the RC Amala school in the Dharmadam constituency. After casting the vote, the CM spoke to the media.
The Chief Minister has responded to the claims of Sukumaran Nair, the chief of the Nair Service Society, who said the Lord Ayyappa's anger would be on the Left Democratic Front (LDF) alliance in the elections.
Reacting to the claims, he said, along with Lord Ayyappa, all the other gods are also with the LDF government as the government has given importance to the people and protected them.
Adding further, the Chief Minister said, Sukumaran Nair, will not say that the Gods are with the LDF government as he is a strong devotee of Lord Ayyappa. The government is protecting the people and this is the reason why gods of all the faiths are with us, he said.
Expressing his strong belief in the LDF alliance winning the election, the Chief Minister said the election will prove the people's strength. People will reject all the fake allegations, he said.
