The first T20 International (T20I) between West Indies and Sri Lanka had provided all the required entertainment for the cricket fans. Be it the batting prowess of West Indies star Kieron Pollard and the bowling skills of Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya.

Pollard got all the attention with his batting prowess by hitting six sixes in an over. With this, he became the third player after former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs and former Indian player Yuvraj Singh to hit six sixes in an over.

Dananjaya's happiness of claiming a hat-trick did not last long. West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard smashed him for six maximums. West Indies chased a mere target of 132 with six overs left.

Put in to bat first Sri Lanka had barely managed to put 131 on the scoreboard. Chasing the target, West Indies were in a comfortable position with 52/0 at 3.1 overs. Dananjaya changed the momentum by claiming a hat-trick dismissing Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, and Nicholas Pooran.

Captain Pollard came to the crease at targeted the Sri Lankan bowlers. After hitting six sixes, he lost his wicket in the form of leg-before. Despite lowing the skipper, West Indies completed the run chase.
