Former CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy decided to come back to his parent party. Reviving the lost glory of Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh is high on his agenda at present.
Kiran Kumar Reddy had rightly predicted that AP Congress will have no future if bifurcation happens against the wishes of Seemandhrites. He even told Telangana Congress won't be able to capitalize on the statehood. During a recent meeting, Sonia Gandhi herself accepted that prediction of Kiran Kumar Reddy has come true. She even felt bad about the lack of a strong leader to take the party forward in both the Telugu States. Subsequently, Rahul Gandhi held discussions with Kiran Kumar Reddy for strengthening AP Congress. It then, Kiran questioned, 'What will be the use of targeting TDP alone? How could Congress retain its lost glory if it doesn't attack YSRC?'.
Only after the discussion with Kiran Kumar Reddy, Rahul Gandhi directed AP Congress Leaders to target YSR Congress from now.
Sources say, Kiran Kumar Reddy might mostly focus on national politics even if he joins Congress.
