Is the Congress high command sending clear signals that it has thrown its weight behind TPCC chief Revanth Reddy? Has it decided to send strong warnings to all those who are trying to oppose Revanth Reddy? The latest decisions of the Congress Party with regard to the party's campaign for the upcoming Munugode bypoll clearly say this.

The TPCC on Friday released a note announcing the strategy and campaign committee for Munugode. The names of both MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and TPCC campaign committee chief Madhu Yashki Goud are missing. While Komatireddy is the local MP and Munugode comes under his jurisdiction, Madhu Yashki is the key member of the party's campaign committee.

Komatireddy's brother Rajagopal Reddy, who till recently was in the Congress, has now become the BJP nominee. Venkat Reddy has repeatedly criticized Revanth and has sent conflicting signals about campaigning for the party. He had skipped the party's strategy meets and instead, toured the constituency along with a Union minister. Later, he left for Kerala to participate in Rahul Gandhi's rally. Madhu Yashki had recently said that the Congress Party had fallen to the third place in Munugode.

The high command is said to be peeved at these statements and actions that only help in weakening the party. So, the new campaign and strategy committee announced by Revanth Reddy has only pro-Revanth Reddy leaders. This, according to Congress watchers, is a clear signal to the dissidents to fall in line. It is a clear indication that the high command fully supports Revanth Reddy. How will Komatireddy Venkat Reddy take this? Let's wait and watch for the drama to unfold.
