LG Polymers Case: CEO And 12 Others Arrested In Connection With The Case

The high-power committee that was constituted to probe into the tragic gas leakage at the LG Polymers submitted a detailed report to AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the other day.

Hours after the committee submit its report, 12 members were arrested including LG Polymers CEO, two directors, and other staff of the chemical plant.

In the report, the committee held the LG Polymers responsible for the gas leakage and opined that the multiple discrepancies resulted in the tragic incident. The uncontrolled gas from the N6 tank in teh plant played a key role in the leakage reportedly.

To prepare a detailed report, the panel sent a detailed questionnaire, and some questions in the questionnaire were put forth by the citizens who were invited by the panel. Calls and emails from the employees and others were also involved in the process of information gathering.

The tragic incident that took place on the 7th of May, claimed more than 14 lives, and hundreds of people were directly exposed to the tragic gas and were hospitalized accordingly.

The tragic gas leakage took place at the V.V.Venkatapuram village of Vishakapatnam and left a deadly impact on five nearby villages. The locals fainted after getting exposed to the virus.

AP CM Jagan who got to know about the incident rushed to spot and even met with the gas victims.he announced Rs 1 Crore ex-gratia for the victims and promised that people who were responsible for this will be punished. He fulfilled his promise by arresting the people in connection with the gas leakage.
