Argentine professional footballer Lionel Messi has become football's second billionaire as he tops Forbes' rich list in 2020.
According to Forbes, the 33-year-old is said to be set to pocket Â£98million($126 million) in total this year from his salary and endorsements, $92m from his salary and $34m in endorsements.
He pocketed over $1,000,000,000 in pre-tax earnings during his football career, following in the footsteps of his rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to reports, Argentine international is the highest-paid footballer of 2020. Ronaldo is second on the Forbes list with earning Â£91m($117m) this year. Neymar comes in third place with Â£74.7 million( $96 million) while Kylian Mbappe stands in fourth place this year, with earning around Â£32.6 million($42 million).
