Liquor Case: MP's Son Gets Interim Bail!

The much-talked-about Delhi liquor scam continues to be in the news due to various reasons. The case saw a big development recently with Aurobindo Pharma Director Sharath Chandra Reddy turning approver. This had sent shocking waves all over as there is a talk that a few big names might pop up with Reddy turning approver.
As another big development, the court granted bail to one of the accused in the case Magunta Raghava Reddy, son of MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy of the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh. The bench hearing the petition gave him a big relief by giving him bail.
Going by the information, Magunta Raghava Rerddy was given a conditional bail of 15 days. It is said that he moved the vacation bench saying that her grandmother is ill and is in ICU and he needs bail to stay beside her. However, the lawyer appearing for ED opposed this.
But the Court granted him bail. When Raghava Reddy’s lawyer sought interim bail of six weeks, the vacation bench gave him bail for just 15 days. On the other hand, his regular petition on bail in the case will be heard on the 26 of this month.
Raghava Reddy was arrested by the ED earlier in February this year in connection with the Liquor Case. He is facing allegations over involvement in the case. It is said that Raghava Reddy might be involved in the money that is believed to have been paid by the South Group in the alleged scam.
