With the number of Corona virus cases ringing the danger bells in Maharashtra, the state government has come up with a plan to deal with the quarantine patients. The government led by Uddhav Thackeray started to mark the patients who were advised to self-quarantine by a mark. The stamp reads as ‘Home Quarantine' to make sure that the patients isolate themselves for 14 days.

The Maharashtra government has called for a press meeting to advise the public on the safety measures to be followed to fight the novel corona virus.

"Those who require self-quarantine but don't want to stay in hospital or hotels and want to go home, they should have a sense of responsibility. They should not roam around freely. They should follow quarantine strictly," Chief Minister Uddhav told.

"One patient, who allegedly ran away, was found in the hospital premises. We have given instructions to treat them kindly. Also, there should be no social boycott of such people," he added.

"People who have been advised to self-quarantine will be stamped, like during elections, on their hand mentioning that the date until when they should be indoors. If such people go out, others can identify them as home quarantine patients. This is being done so that patients strictly observe home quarantine," Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope said who was present at the meeting.
