Major Changes Expected In Congress After Dasara Festival
X
The Congress Party is planning to bounce back soon after the Dasara festival. The party is now trying to reorganise itself. The party's thinking heads are now looking to re-invent the party now. A major party meet is being planned soon after the VijayaDasami, wherein Rahul Gandhi would be re-anointed as the party president. Also, Priyanka Gandhi would be asked to take up a key position in the party.

Next year is going to be crucial for the Congress Party in many ways. In the first half of the year, there are elections to five states. In the second half, another three states will go to polls. Among the states going to polls in the first half are UP, Manipur, Goa, Uttarakhand and Punjab. While the first four are BJP-ruled states, while the last one is Congress-ruled states.

The Congress needs to retain Punjab and wrest some from the BJP. But, all is not well in Punjab. Vote-getter Amarinder Singh is out but charismatic Navjot Siddhu is not fully in. New CM CharanJit Channi is till to get a grip on the party and the government. Now the party is divided into three groups. Tackling Punjab is the biggest challenge before the Congress.

23 senior Congress leaders, who raised a banner of revolt, are now marginalised and the leadership has gained an upper hand now. The Congress party is planning to slowly edge these leaders out. The leadership will assert itself. Soon after election as the AICC chief, Rahul Gandhi is planning to undertake a nationwide tour to rejuvenate the party. The thinking heads of the party are now busy planning for post-Dasara plans.
