According to some media reports a man from Wadala was assaulted and shaved his head by Shiv Sena party workers after the man called Maharashtra CM, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray bald in a social media post.

Going into details, the horrifying incident took place on Sunday, two days after the 33-year-old Hiramani Tiwari, a pharmaceutical firm employee commented on Uddhav Thackeray on his statements on the ongoing protests and Delhi Police lathi-charge on Jamia Millia Islamia University's students that this reminded of Jallianwala Bagh days.

Tiwari told the police that on December 20, Prakash Hasbe, his friend who works as Shiv Sena shakha pramukh in Wadala has asked him why did he post such comment on Uddhav. Very soon he apologized to Hasbe and said this is a mistake.

Around 12.30 pm on Sunday, two Shiv Sena activists came to Tiwari's home and told him that shakha pramukh Samadhan Jugdar in Shanti Nagar colony of Wadala wants to meet him. The two men took Tiwari to Jugdar who is waiting outside a temple with a trimmer.

Later a group of men assaulted Tiwari and Jugdar shaved off his hair. Jugdar has warned Tiwari for writing comments that defames Shiv Sena on social media. He went on to say that anyone who insults Thackeray will be dealt in the same way by Shiv Sena.

Tiwari realized that the video which reveals his humiliation was uploaded on Social media. Then he lodged a complaint of assault and defamation against Jugdar.

"I told the men that I had made a mistake. There was a lot of pressure on me to do so. The Shiv Sena can behave this way because it is in power and controls the police department. I do not understand why they have not registered an FIR. Police have given me protection because I am still facing a lot of pressure from the party," Tiwari said.
