Manmohan Singh And Other Congress Leaders To Miss The Official Banquet

According to some close circles, it is believed that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Congress leaders decided to not attend the official banquet which will be hosted by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind in honour of the US President Donald Trump on February 25.
Interestingly, earlier Mr. Singh has accepted the invite and now reportedly conveyed his regret to the President's office for not able to attend the banquet.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha will also not attend the official banquet as per the information. The reason for this is that Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has not been invited.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that as a form of protest for their party's top leaders not been invited he will also not attend the President's banquet.
If this news appears to be true this will be the first time the opposition leaders missing the official banquet in honour of a visiting head of state.
