Megastar Chiranjeevi has been restored with the responsibility to speak on behalf of Telugu Film industry with governments and even appeal to common public as well.
Major number of Industry bigwigs who are retiring soon want him to take over the responsibility of looking out for the Industry people.
He has been doing it like a good social service enthusiast that he is and from last year, he has been vocal on Social Media platforms too.
After AP government announced their latest decision on ticket pricing and online ticketing system, he decided to appeal to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan about the issue.
He said that the Telugu Film Industry is not just about few star actors and big budget films. For every industry worker to survive they need theatres to survive and flourish.
He requested CM to rethink about their strategy to go with low ticket pricing while appreciate their stand to bring every theatre under online ticketing system with a government run portal.
He asked AP Government to rethink their decision and decide on ticket rates that are feasible for the producers to recover costs and also feasible for public to spend taking in account the change in times, inflation.
